Heritage Square Set to Welcome Over 250 Vehicles for the 16th Annual Stars and Stripes Classic Car Show
SULPHUR — More than 250 cars, free jambalaya and hot dogs, and a Saturday at Heritage Square with no admission charge.
The 16th Annual Stars and Stripes Classic Car Show returns tomorrow, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing classic cars and their admirers together in the heart of Sulphur.
For some, it’s about the restoration work—the paint, the chrome, the details that took years to get right. For others, it’s spotting the car their daddy drove or showing their children what used to sit in the family driveway. You don’t have to know engines to find something worth stopping for.
The City of Sulphur is presenting the event with support from Sulphur Parks and Recreation, the Henning Cultural Center, the Brimstone Historical Society, and Visit Lake Charles. Award presentations will include the Mayor’s Choice Award, presented by Mayor Jacob Stutes.
Stutes credited Public Works, Sulphur police and fire personnel, and Tommy Little for helping prepare the park and organize the day. He also commended Stephanie Benoit for stepping up and taking on additional responsibilities to help bring the show together.
Saturday, October 17 | 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Heritage Square, Sulphur
